Penelope Fletcher, the bookseller
Penelope Fletcher was born on an island off an island off an island in the Salish Sea (off Turtle Island) and opened her first bookstore when she was 19 years old. Her passion for the publishing and literary world eventually brought her to Paris where she raised her three children in a house full of books and stories.

The bookstore brought readers, writers, and artists from many corners of the world and created a common space for a passionate reading community. The store continued to build a culture of community, trust, thoughts, ideas, and a passion for reading until it closed its doors in 2012.
